Time Management in 2022

William Penn stated, "Time is what we want most but what we use worst." I have been guilty of not properly planning and utilizing my time, along with procrastinating when I knew there was a laundry list of things to be done. Some of this was due to sheer exhaustion. However, there are times when we find ourselves lazy and lackluster without cause.

Here are a few tips to maximize your time in 2022:

  • Purchase a journal or planner specifically for organizational efforts.

  • Take time to plan, organize, and prioritize.

  • Put thought into the tasks you are giving your energy to.

  • Set daily, weekly, and monthly goals.

  • Create a to-d0-list and include deadlines.

  • Make sure you have a clear focus for each day.

  • Avoid procrastination.

  • Minimize interruptions.

  • Do not allow the crisis of others to dictate your schedule or time.

  • Avoid multi-taking if you cannot effectively complete assignments simultaneously.

  • Remember to make self-care apart of your daily and weekly routine.

We are creatures of habit. So remember to establish a daily routine for consistency purposes. It takes 21 days to form a new habit. In the next 21 days, incorporate these tips and you will see improvement in how you steward your time. You will also see you have more time available to create, produce, and serve because you are no longer wasteful!
